ScreenMe tests are not diagnostic
They help you understand your microbiome and inform conversations with a healthcare professional.
Last updated 1 January 2026
ScreenMe tests provide information about your microbiome to support your understanding of your health and your conversations with a healthcare professional. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your GP, pharmacist or a qualified clinician with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read here or in a ScreenMe report.
Not a diagnosis
A ScreenMe report describes the bacteria and yeast identified in your sample and their relative abundance. It does not, on its own, diagnose any disease or condition. Where results indicate an imbalance that warrants clinical interpretation, a support call with a practitioner is provided.
Referral
Your clinician-reviewed report may be used as a clinical letter to support a referral, but the decision to investigate, diagnose or treat rests with a qualified clinician who knows your full history.
Emergencies
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a test result.
